Our Services

Nautilus Frontiers builds on its peoples’ uniquely deep experience working on ground across Africa and its neighbouring regions. We provide expert advisory services to private and public entities related to market entry strategy, public-private sector relations, commercial real estate and investment services. Our Approach

Nautilus Frontiers provides expert advice in locations overlooked by mainstream business and foreign investor interest. We combine global standard service with innovative thinking in difficult to navigate locations across Africa and the Middle East. We bring our expertise in market research, strategic analysis and value engineering to projects via provision of executable business cases, oriented to attract international financing.

Our Team

The Nautilus Frontiers team offers over 80 cumulative years of expertise on ground in the region. As a consequence we have an extensive network, with professionals serving leading global and regional businesses, including within state authorities. 

Our Founder

Ruairi grew up in Nigeria and has worked across the MEA for the past two decades. During his career, Ruairi Moriarty has worked extensively with government, state-owned enterprises, and prominent global and regional businesses across Africa and Middle East. As an advisor to major developers, he has played a role in designing, developing, and establishing some of Africa’s most innovative development projects. 


Ruairi is dedicated to supporting the region's development. He founded Nautilus Frontiers to further utilize his expertise to assist with the economic diversification of the region, particularly in areas such as mixed-use estate development, light industry, sustainability and technology. He brings his business, real estate and financial expertise, as well as his extensive local and international network, to expand the above sectors in under served markets with a focus across West, Central and North Africa. 


Prior to founding Nautilus Frontiers, Ruairi held senior positions in CBRE and Trammell Crow Company and was a Managing Partner & Shareholder at EMC-RE. He has worked over the past three decades in New York, London and Lagos. Originally trained as an architect at University College London (RIBA II), he additionally holds a Master's degree in Real Estate Finance and Development from Columbia University. He is based between Brussels and Lagos and leads Nautilus's efforts across the MEA region.

He brings vast experience in foreign affairs, government relations, global business, sports, gaming, marketing and events.
  • He has been involved with Nigeria and the West African region since 1996, initially as Trade Secretary for the UK Government based in Lagos and Abuja. He has subsequently worked in the private sector representing local and international business, leveraging a truly extraordinary group of personal contacts in and out of government. 
  • He has traveled extensively across the country, raised his children in Lagos and he remains deeply committed to Nigeria and the region as a whole.

  • In the last 10 years, he has predominantly worked in Lagos and Accra with West African Ventures, Business Contracting Ltd. and PWO Ltd. on multiple large-scale projects. For the past 3 years he has been managing the design of the Shell Lagos HQ
  • Recent projects in Lagos have included:
  • •Design Manager for Lagos HQ for Shell, with 55,000 sqm GFA, with PWO Architects. 2019 - 2023.
  • • Construction management for Cornerstone Tower, Oniru. With Business Contracting Ltd. 2016-2017.
  • • Design management for 5-star Hotel development in Ikoyi. With Swan & Maclaren Singapore. 2014-2015. 80,000 sqm. 150 million USD.
  • • Design, project management and construction management for WAV Head Office in Ikoyi. Initial designs 2014. Completed 2016. Prefabricated building. 3,750 sqm. Budget: 10 million USD.

  • - diplomatic housing project in Maputo, Mozambique, development management
  • - NEOM staff village in Saudi Arabia
  • PBP/Flexpark (ownership position); Dubai based business specializing in the development of Logistics and Light Industrial Parks;
  • - Flexpark sourced and matured 144,000m2 Logistics Park in Cairo East, Egypt 
  • - Tenants in the Park will be the largest international and regional E-commerce and logistics companies. 
  • - RF Capital Dubai (subsidiary of RF Group Sydney) Role identifying RE investment and development opportunities across Gulf and Africa within agreed asset classes, manage development process, develop building within budget and within parameters of feasibility study.
  • - RMB Westport - Lead role in fundraising from 3rd party institutions globally towards Grade A office developments in Nigeria and Angola. Raised in excess of USD 520 Mil. in two successive funds. Lead responsibility for leasing and subsequent management of completed projects via third parties. Projects included Wings office complex, VI, Lagos.

She has served as a negotiator for the Kyoto Protocol and provided strategic advice to multiple governments and the UNFCCC on climate change policies and carbon projects.
